Privacy Policy

Effective April 1, 2022

I am committed to the following privacy principles:

1.  The personal data of my clients is protected by attorney-client privilege.

2.  I don’t ask for your personal information unless I actually need it – and I avoid asking for non-relevant information. (E.g., asking your gender or income level when you’re just trying to make a simple inquiry.)

3.  I don’t share your personal information except to comply with the law, to develop my products and documents, or to protect my rights.

4.  I don’t store personal information unless it’s required for the ongoing provisions of services.

My Clients
I gather personal information from my clients and that information is protected by attorney-client privilege.

Website Visitors
My website collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request as well as user path, time spent on screen, user flow, etc.
The purpose in collecting this non-personally identifying information is to better understand how visitors use this website.
This website uses cookies – a cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns.
Cookies help identify and track visitors, customize the website experience for those visitors, and improve website design.
Website visitors who don’t want cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using our website – the drawback is that certain features of our website might not function properly without the assistance of cookies.

Financial Information
I do not ask for or receive access to your financial information (e.g., your card number or account information) – and I love it that way.

Signing Up for Emails
You can provide your name, email, and I’ll add you to my email lists.
I send periodic emails that contain legal information and/or promotional information.
I don’t use our email lists for any other purposes and I don’t share or sell information from my email lists.

Contacting Me
If you reach out to me via email or phone/text or if you schedule a meeting, your contact information is saved in my files. Depending on the channel you select, this may include your name, email address, phone number, your message/question, and our correspondence.

Protection of Personal Information
Client information is protected and governed by the rules of attorney-client privilege.
Non-client personal information may be shared with my employees and contractors who (i) need to know that information in order to process it on my behalf or to provide my services, and (ii) have agreed not to disclose it to others – some of those employees and contractors may be located outside of the United States and by using this website, you consent to the transfer of such information to them.
I will disclose personal information (i) in response to a subpoena, court order, or other valid governmental request, (ii) when I believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Nathan Kavlie PLLC, third parties, or the public at large.
Except as just explained, I don’t sell, rent, or give personal information to other persons or organizations.

Changes to the Privacy Policy
Although most changes are likely to be minor, I can change this privacy policy from time to time, in my sole discretion.
I encourage you to check this page for any changes to the privacy policy, as your continued use of this website after any change in the privacy policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
